This Is It 02:55
The city skyline seems extra hard tonight. No soft silhouettes, just cold and angry lights. The air is heavy with a mad desperation. Who'll prescribe the meds for a sad and lonely nation? This is it! This is the end. This is it! This is the end, now... The dollar works its way into our hearts and minds. Building personal barricades and killing the softer kind. They say money matters. Matters most to the very rich and poor. The ones in the middle, well, they just settle the score. This is it! This is the end. This is it! This is the end, now... Trade training wheels in for training bras. Our girls grow up too soon. Whatever happened to paper dolls and watching the man in the moon, And watching that man in the moon and... THIS IS IT! This is the end! THIS IS IT! This is the end.

Community 03:16
We cut out all the news from our own points of view. It's so much easier to see, so much easier to see. How others have it wrong, but you let them sing their song. It doesn't mean you have to hear it, it doesn't mean you have to hear it. There's something comforting about that song they sing, Even though they didn't mean it. You can scream anything from behind a screen, And you never have to own it, you never have to own it. We are all just the living dead. We reach for brains from inside our beds. Searching for slipping humanity. Amid a million screaming voices. I wanna go back to when everything was new, And we talked face to face about it. We talked face to face about it. Now I may have it wrong, but you let me sing my song. It doesn't mean you have to hear it. It doesn't mean you have to hear it. We are the living, living, We are the living, living, We are the living, living dead.

Chicken Suit 02:50
The pigeon rushes lightly over the street, Headed for the other ones where they meet. They coo and hiss and they pass him by on cue. WOOOO! Smoke butts and bandaids, all sorts of things. Scraps of hero sandwiches and chicken wings. Get in their gullets as they pass him by on cue. WOOOO! The geese they moved in quickly with their wings spread wide! The pigeons ran, no place to hide! So they sat where he lay, hisses and bright purple tongues on display. The man in the chicken suit was underpaid. Birds did gather 'round him almost every day. They cooed and hissed, and people laughed. HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA At the man in the chicken suit. The man in the chicken suit. The man in the chicken suit. The man in the chicken suit. HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Mirrors 03:38
I look in the mirror. And what do I see? The devil lives under my skin. Uses my eyes to see. He holds me to my fears. And insecurities. So now, I avoid mirrors. Don't wanna see what he sees. I look in the mirror. I look in the mirror. I look in the mirror. I look in the mirror.

Lead 02:46
I am waiting for a day when the pain will leave me. Just up and leave me. Sick of being shitty. My inner voice is pretty rough. Shadowed mornings full of doubt, Wondering how I'll clamour out From underneath this blanket. This blanket made of lead. When we met I was fourteen, He was five years older. He was graduating. He was meaner than he seemed. He was so mean. Had a few friends when we met, by the time he left I had none. But that was six years later. So much damage had been done. Now approaching middle age, I feel uneasy. When people say nice things to me. Since those days I've fallen down. Gotten used to kissing ground. And now my blanket's heavy. My blanket made of lead.

Enough 02:53
Falling out of the spell. To which I've been confined to, hear the mob yell! Tricks laid down to keep the frown off my face. Because I am a woman in a man's space. And all they want is smiles. Well, that's just too bad, go find your own happiness! Hours swapped for material things, But there's never enough, it seems. To cure this human's condition. I'm never enough, it seems. Well, I've had enough, I am enough. Well, I've had enough, I AM ENOUGH! This is just a bit of truth for you to chew. A sick and twisted joke, for you to choke on. A bit of truth for you to chew. A sick and twisted joke! Well, I've had enough, I am enough! Well, I've had enough, I AM ENOUGH! I AM ENOUGH! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ENOUGH! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ENOUGH! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Girl Thing 01:54
My hands. My feet. My teeth. Are all I have to keep you away from me. 'Cause my words. What I see. Don't meet the standard of what is credible. It's a girl thing. Cops are paid to keep the peace, protection is not what that means. Cops are paid to keep the peace, protection is not what that means! My walks have a checklist. Attention at all times, to the front, the back, the sides. But don't forget to smell the roses. Tears are running down the highway, all I wanna do is cry. Fears are running through my veins, our system is in-fuckin-sane!! Women around you, count them to four. One's been assaulted once (probably more). My body! My mind! Are mine until I have been violated. Then time to prove it is a crime!

Matters 02:47
Calling out into the crowd for the answers to the thoughts I shout out loud. Hoping for a lightning bolt, To ruin or rev this strange revolt I'm somehow in. Clawing at the edges of the definition of the sane, I'm feeling raw. The glue that held me to the expectation of a normal life, Is no longer sticking. But in the end, none of this will matter. We'll all be piles of rotting flesh, turning into dust. And in the end, when all of our souls have dispersed. Carried through the air to some foreign place, none of this will matter. Yet... Here I sit and ponder all the past things set in front of me, While the future sneaks up. On padded feet upon a carpet or a lawn so lush that you could ring it out. And soon the minutes turn to years, And you've been captive to your fears, and watering eyes. With one last punch the future comes and tells you that What's done is done, it's time to say bye. But in the end, none of this will matter. We'll all be piles of rotting flesh, turning into dust. And in the end, when all of our souls have dispersed. Carried through the air to some foreign place, none of this will matter. None of this will matter. None of this will matter. None of this will matter. None of this will matter.

Miles 03:25
What is this? What kind of hell have I surrounded myself with? Every little thing that I do, screams 'help me'. Carve a line, I'm getting by, but. But it's on borrowed time. Fifteen dollars an hour to burn me, fifteen dollars an hour. To burn me down. Blood runs hot! Flares are flying but, all you see is. Big smiles, dead eyes! Big smiles. Big smiles, dead eyes. Big smiles! Day is done. Gonna keep driving West, 'til that sun sets. Gonna keep driving West, 'til that sun sets. Gonna keep driving West! I've got miles, and miles, and miles, and miles to go. I've got miles, and miles, and miles, and miles to go. I've got miles, and miles, and miles, and miles to go. I've got miles, and miles, and miles, and miles to go! I've got mile to go, I've got miles to go, I've got miles to go, I've got mile to go, I've got miles to go, I've got miles to go....

Crust 03:37
My feet are shuffling off my sins. I started walking to move my thinking. From the helplessness of being down. To taking in things that are kicking around. Like the dog in the window, the one up the street. They don't give a damn or a bark about me. I only exist for as long as I'm seen. And that's how it goes when you're living the dream. Forget all about what the people might say. To you, about you when you turn away. When it all boils down, all you're left with is crust. Your tears all dry up and your breath turns to dust. I used to believe in the power of prayer. The timing was brief, but the time, it was there. God used to look like a man with a beard. Now god is looking like socials and mirrors. I hate to say, but I lost my way. Trying to find my peace of mind. Clawing through this mental stew of all the things That we've been through. I keep falling! I keep falling! I keep falling, falling falling! I keep falling. I started walking to move my thoughts. Got a sweet bit of relief... But now I'm back at the start.
